How can I tighten the Handbrake on LDV Convoy?

you should start by slackening the handbrake cable,then adjust brake shoes [through backplates] then adjust handbrake cable.
if when adjusting shoes a sort of ratchet/clicking cannot be felt then you will need to remove drums and you may find the lower spring link rod to shoe bracket may be bent or broken-either way will need renewing.
