vokera maxin lock out? causes-remedy?

Had a similar problem with a volkera a few years back caused by what looked like a ignition lead inside casing which would drop off if heat inside casing got too excessive. This would cause heating and hot water to lock out. The excessive heat inside the casing was caused by leaking heat exchanger gasket. Hope this is of some help
