Mend Masport Quantum 45 Mower Going Briggs Engine

Mower starts but fails to keep going?

I have a quantum 45 briggs and stratton engine in my masport mower. I can start the mower but after a few seconds it stops again. I have changed the spark plug i have cleaned the air filter which was a little dusty. i started the mower it went well for a short time but then stopped again and whilst it would always start won't keep going. i suspected it might be something to do with the carburettor.. there is plenty of fuel and the fuel is fresh

Failing that- simply replace the complete carb with a new one. They're only £30 brand new from Briggs.

Drain the float bowl to ensure there's no water in it. Remove the bowl bolt to do this - and ensure that after the bowl has emptied, there is a continuous flow of fuel. If not, replace the fuel lne.
