Mend Ford Transit Van Replaced Filter

transit 2.5 deisel r reg no power?

i have bought a van as above but it has no power i have replaced the fuel filter but has made no differance i have taken it to local garage to have the pump turned up but they said it was a bosc pump and could not be alterd and there was no air flow sensor fitted the van starts first time every time drives well but a top speed of 55mph down hill

Try http://fordtransit.org/forum/ where you will get lots of freindly advice and help.
Possibly due to rear diff ratio, although 55 is very slow indeed. Mine tends to top out at about 90, but has the fuelling turned up and egr mod done.
Ask on there for more info.
