transit van keeps cutting out intermittently?

i have an 06 Transit 2.5 tdci and just recently the orange coil symbol came on when i was just about to overtake on motorway then it went into limp mode now it has progressed but the light will cancel when you stop and restart the engine .just changed filter to eliminate any one know the problem ?

i have a 2001 2.0 dura and it is doing the same thing any one have an idea
