Mend Craftsman 572.610031 Drive Belt Replaced

I have a craftsman rotary tool # 572.610031 that needs a new synthetic driv?

drive belt. Can that be replaced?

Craftsman Craftsman 572.610031 Garden Tools, Lawn Mowers Drive Belt Replaced

Mine cracked lengthwise, but did not fall apart in pieces. For an expedited field repair, I put a piece of 3/8" heat shrink tubing over it and shrunk it down. Works as long as the thing is not in pieces. As a makeshift till you get the replacement

Call your local Sears Parts Department. The part number is in fact 2615294309. It's called a coupler. Price is around $2.50 each. My local store (Hilo, HI) had two in stock. Another option is the Sears central parts distributor 1-800-469-4663. They wanted almost $20 for shipping. Nah.

If you need the nylon coupling that connects the motor and the collet assembly they are available at 1-800-275-2052 for $2.25 each
