Mend Honda HRT216 Lawn Mower Started

How can I get my Lawn Mower started?

I am having trouble starting my Honda Harmony II HRT216 lawn mower... I put in clean new gas, and changed out the spark plug, it was last used just three weeks ago with no problem before that. I had just a little trouble starting it before, but it eventually started. Now it won't start... And you can hear a couple of little pops coming from the carb when the cord is pulled What else may be wrong? Please help!!! Have a Labor Day BBQ and the grass is getting too long. :^(

The armature magnet may be faulty. Remove the spark plug. Place the cap from the armature back on the plug. Ground the plug, pull the starter rope and see if there is a continuous spark as the starter rope is pulled. If the spark is missing or is very weak, this may be the cause of your problem.
