Mend Honda 3813 Lawn Mower

3813 Honda Lawn Mower?

My Honda is 30 years old. Mowed half the lawn then the engine stopped. Had gas, put in new battery because the old battery of 3 years would not take a charge. Replaced Ignition Coil assy., still would not fire. Checked spark plugs and found them firing with very tiny spark. Engine would still not fire. I figured I need Charge Coil Assy. Am I correct? I bought a whole new running 3813 for $300., to take parts from.

Long time since I worked on one of these. Are you getting fuel through? In the back of my mind these mowers had a fuel shut off solenoid (poss fitted to the underside of the carb). If this is stuck shut or not receiving power fuel will not get through. No fuel no bang, no bang no go.
