Inovix iMP-15D - FFWD Problem?

The manual (page 4 step 5) says that a long press to the right on the mode key when music is playing will do a fast forward. But the player just behaves as if I have pressed the Volume + key.
Is there any way to FFWD?

Just been fiddling with the player and solved the problem. If you pause the track at the point where you want to fast forward, then hold the mode dial to the right, it fast forwards just fine. Rewind also works by holding to the left. It also works from stop mode, just not while the track is actually playing.

No an answer, or of any help to you, Kevin, but I have just bought one of these players, and it does exactly the same thing. Thought you may like to know it seems like a design problem and not a fault with your device.
