Sam4S ER-420M Cash register-"Register Mode Closed"?

I have read the manual and everything I can online but I cannot get this cash register off the "Register Mode Closed" mode. I did a MAC as had a lot of previous settings from previous owner. I added a clerk but if I do anything it says "sequence error" or "Time error".

I have used default key layout but nothing works! Any help would be advised.
