Can I change the battery in the TomTom 700?

Before spending money on a new battery, try charging it for at least an hour on household mains power (i.e. not through the car charger). The car charger will not recharge a fully flat battery.

Then do a factory reset on it - press a pin onto the reset button in the back for 10 seconds then switch back on. It should come right up. Exact same thing happened with outs.

if its not turning on at all but green light comes on when charging you have burnt out a chip on circuit board 40-50 pounds to fix look on ebay under faulty tomtom a few people on there who repair them..if it does come on and dies it could be battery look again on ebay for tomtom battery..make sure you buy the right one and make sure it says with tool as you will need this to get tomtom apart..special screws....its easy to change battery 2 min job..batterys are about 12 pounds inc del costs...
