Mend Hotpoint FFA70 Drain Cycle Water

Hotpoint fridge freezer FFA70?

The drain plug is full of defrosted cycle water. I have checked the 'evaporation tray' and that seems to be in place. I have 'rodded' the drain hole with plastic coated wire but the defrosted water does not clear. Any ideas?

The problem is the drain hole is frozen up.. even even after defrosting the freezer it took quite along time after to get all the ice out of the drain
I dont think this is the answer because the drain runs down the back of the freezer it wont be long before it will be blocked with ice again
