Please can you help
granddaughter locked BT Synergy 4500 phone but on pressing the red phone symbol and the * to unlock it nothing happens all it says is press unlock and *
I had the same problem but none of the solutions I found on various blogs worked, and just pressing the hash key (as suggested by the phone itself!) didn't work either. Tried every combination I could find... eventually I managed to unlock it by continually pressing the hash key many times in quick succession.

i have tried both options that you have suggested
1) menu key and then *
2) unlock red button and then *
neither work!!
Please help I cant use my handset!!

if not press the I above the menu and the star to unlock
eg the top row middle button and star to unlock

I hope your phone is still not locked. If it is the manual says to select the UNLOCK option then * for 3 secs. If you've not got a manual you can see it online at: http://www.shop.bt.com/content/uni2/documentation/498n/025455.pdf
