Mend Optima XM Alarm Problem Code

optima xm alarm.how can i solve this problem won't accept code no?

optima xm alarm panel.. will not set alarm when code is put in. i've done all the usual things. like..changing the entry code.. pressing reset.. i have the instructions but i am a bit dodgy about going into the engineers code..why don't they give a list of faultfinding like most electrical appliances do?? can any one help please??
