Mend Peugeot 205 Engine Filter

Why has my N reg peugeot 205 got oil in air filter?

I checked my air filter only to find it was a foam-type filter not the usual paper-type. There seemed to be oil of some sort covering the foam & a little residue in the bottom of the holder. Is this normel for a foam-type filter?

Yes, they are normally covered in an oil it helps trap the smaller particles of dust
