Peugeot 406 2.0 HDI Air Con? year 2001?

I have had my A/C re gassed & pollen filter changed the A/C system is working but not properly the garage has told me that I need to go to the main dealer for a diagnostic check as the fan is not coming on when the A/C switch is put on. Should the fan come on when A/C is switched on ? The fan works fine in traffic when the engine warms up. Could it be one of the 3 relays on the side of the Fan ? It,s already cost me £123 . Thanks

It was not working properly before I took it in. Taken it to another garage today and they reckon that the pump is not working properly, working but getting very hot at the back of it. thanks for reply

if all was fine before you took it for re-gas, sounds like the garage that did the work has f**ked up and are passing the buck, if "proper" garage then make lots of noise when they have other customers about and they might fix it, if "backstreet" good luck
