How to find and fix an oil leak?

Yard Machines 21" mower, one year old. Heard a loud POP after a recent use and had oil everywhere. Now the engine continues to leak oil. I've cleaned the spark plug, and the mower has started a couple of times, but not regularly.

Thanks Holly--how bizarre! I gave up and took it in--they replaced a seal, now all is well.

believe it or not, my Yard Machine riding mower did the same thing. Took it in for repair-they said I had TOO MUCH oil in it!!!
