Mend Accenta G3 Factory Optima Alarm

I want to factory reset an accenta /optima g3 alarm?

I have just moved into a new house, unfortunately the house was rented out and the alarm codes are not known by the previous owner! I really need to factory reset the alarm and reprogram it, please tell me how I can do this?

Hi I have an alarm with 0123. Im trying to change the code. When I press 8 no lights come on. The manual says 4 lights should light up. What do I do? Thanks in advance

Hi. I have same alarm. However on the keypad the 0 and 9 buttons don't work.. as my user code contains both numbers I can use alarm.

De-power mains and disconnect internal battery.
Re-power and enter reset reset within 5 seconds. Reset will beep and you are back with the default code of 0123. From there program your own code as follows.
Press prog, enter default code ( 0123 ) press 8.
Enter your new 4 digit code then press reset.
You are now ready to use your new code.

To do this you would need an engineers manual which are not generally available to the general public. The G3 is not the easiest to programme if you have little or no knowledge.
