Kenmore Whispertone vacuum belt?

Kenmore Whispertone vacuum SUCKS. The engineer is quite poor as it relates to the design of the belt. But then Sears engineering on their lawnmowers is not much better. They would do well to pay whatever it takes to install Honda motors. The rest of the mower needs help too, where do I start. Sears execs should mow a lawn now and then, and they would fire most of the engineers.

Sqeeze two sides of the light cover on the power-mate that will release the light cover. You will see two screws remove both those screws and the light blub. Flip the the power-mate (bottom) over you see two arrows pointing to the relase tabs. Use a slotted screw drive and push in to release both tabs. Once you have done that flip over the power-mate and lift the top cover off. If you have the manual check out pages 15-16. You should now be able to see the belt is attached to brush. Also don't forget about the reset button at the top.
