Mend Whirlpool AWM 8123/S Washing Machine Error Manual

Whirpool AWM 8123/S Washing Machine has F18 error code?

This isn't in the manual which only mentions F4 to F15. After switching on the display goes to "F18" after a few minutes and refuses to start.

The machine is about 4 years old and recently we had a problem with the concrete weight in the top breaking into two. Generally no other problems. Anybody any ideas?

Yes, you're right. I opened the top again and found the concrete had fragmented more - one piece had actually embedded itself into the back of the control unit and dislodged and broken some bits.

Time for another one...

the code indicate a failure in the control unit so engineer or scrap just make sure none of the wire were damaged or have come loose since the weight broke
