How can i reset the alarm when i have not got the codes? Please help?

We have just bought a house and it has a honeywell alarm system fitted in it, but the owner says he doesnt want to give us the code as it is the same as his bank cards pin number....can some one help me to reset the alarm code without knowing the code.

Honeywell bought out Ademco/pittway group a couple of years ago, if the panel is Ademco made panel ... you can default the panel by hold the * & # keys down while applying power ... the installer code
is the model number ....if you have the user manual is should tell you model number ..... vista 10,20 ,48, 128 thats a starting point....

Yup did ask him...but he doesnt want to do anything....we kept asking him and he came up with this answer after 6 days...he doesnt answer our calls

Pooja ..... pretty certain he can change the code using his existing code. Have you asked him to come and reset it to 0000 for you so you can then set it?
