help with my toshiba plasma tv?

I have a toshiba plasma tv 42hp66 model. Recently, it is having a red rain like tiny spots on the screen and this is not too confortable with me. can someone help me trouble shoot it or fix it?

i am using component/regular av cable for my dvd to the tv. the source connected to the tv is cable. yes, the problem occur in all. you can only see it when there is a black or dark color on the screen. please help

what type of connection are u using. hdmi?, component, composite? what is the source connected to the tv. cable?, dvd, blu ray, sat?
does the problem occur with all sources?
