Why do I get only a blank screen with sound on my DVD Player?

My Polaroid DVD Player/HiFi VCR Combo DVC-2000 works fine with the exception of no picture, only a blank screen. How do I fix it? The VCR works perfectly with a good picture.

Because it is a P.O.S. that Polaroid (and us) will have to live with until the end of time. The simple way to fix this is to take it outside, lay it on a tree stump and SMASH IT WITH A SLEDGE HAMMER. That way you will get the same results-it still won't work-and you won't waste time trying to get it to work anymore while at the same time you will gain the satsifaction of giving IT what is gave you....headaches.

Try changiging the DVD settings between progressive scan and interlaced . It should be a function accessible from the menu or try the remote .
