Daewoo VCR/DVD player recorder eject and open/close won't work?

I have a Daewoo VCR/DVD Player recorder and I put a disc in and it wouldn't read it and now the eject button and the open/close button won't work and I can't get the disc out.

switch it off at the mains for 3 to 4 minutes,mine does that regularlly,its a bummer ,is it still under guarantee????,hope that helps,,steve
