Mend Magic Chef DU75CA Making Turn Model

My dishwasher is making a grinding noise when I turn it on. What could be?

I would like to try to fix it myself. Also, do you have a diagram of the inside of a Magic Chef dishwasher (model DU75CA)?

The are two probabale causes for a grinding noise, either there is something like a spoon trapped in the wash pump propellor or the bearing have gone. Spares can be found at www.easicook.co.uk or www.commercialdishwashersuk.co.uk
