Mend Indesit Belt Wheel Drive

Indeset washing machine?

The belt that drives the washing machine, keep coming off
The wheel that it goes around is warn and there are tiny
metal filings on the floor of the machine.
Is there supposed to be a ridge around the wheel to keep the belt on
