EW1000I - Motor sparks?

Hi,

To start my washing machine I have to give the motor a tap with the thick end of my screw driver for it to kick in. Once going it works fine until the end of the program. However, it does make sparking noise and there are sparks coming off the motor near what I think are the brushes on one side.

Do I have to replace the brushes, motor or both?

Any help would be very appreciated!
