Mend Electrolux 147410w Water Hot Trips

Electrolux 147410w ?

My son has this machine , about 1 yr old , the water is not getting hot , so I suspect the element has gone as it trips the rcd in his house. He also says that the drier is not working , can these two faults be related ?
If so what is common to both faults ?

Some days I don't know why I bother - I answered this about 90 minutes ago - I suggested a cold wash as a diagnostic.

If the dryer is tripping the RCD it may well be the same fault but you do not say if that's happening - if the dryer does not trip the RCD then it's a different fault entirely.

If the machine is a year old it very probably has unexpired warranty - contact the vendor.
