Mend Volvo Central Locking Works Doors

how do i fix the lock on the boot of my volvo?

i recently bought a new volvo and the central locking works for the doors but i cannot get the boot opened what is likely to have caused this? could i fix it? or do i have to buy a new lock?

If it is a volvo estate the rear door lever gwts sticky and fails to return to return back to the normal position . Hence fails to unlock - pull the lever forward with your hand and lock and unlock the door. this has worked for many years for me.
