Mend Craftsman 917 Tractor Engine Carburetor

Why does the engine die after the tractor runs for 10,15 minutes?

My Craftsmann 15.5 HP, 42'' lawn Tractor (Koehler engine), Model 917, quits after about 15 minutes of operation. It won't start again until it's completely cooled down, usually 1; 1 1/2hours? the carb. is new from 2006. I was told it might be the coil. How can I resolve.

I am having the same problem, I notice the gas tank collapsing, by unscrewing the cap and letting air in I get another 15 to 20 minutes. Still searching for solution, but it has to do with air to the carborator

John, I'm having the same problem. It runs for 10 to 15 mins
and then just dies.cools down and it will do it again.
Did you ever find out waht was wrong... Help In NC
