Mend Daytek DVD-001 Wrong Times Problem

My Daytek DVD player keeps saying Wrong Disc?

I've used my Daytek DVD player many times no problem, now whenever I load a DVD, no matter what kind, it says wrong disc. Do I have to open it up and clean it? I'm kind of a techno phobe. PS it was really cheap.
