my derbi gp1 open 50cc won't start?

It worked fine yesterday, but today it just wouldn't start.
All electrics work and the starter motor also work, it just seems like it won't fire up. No matter how many times i try, it wont ignite at all.
It was a slight rainfall during the night, but it sounds ridicoulus if a slight rainfall can kill a scooter?
It is a 2T engine 50cc from piaggio.
I also derestricted it yesterday by taking out the ring in the variator, but it doesen't seem like that is the problem.
Any ideas? Would also be nice to get a respond on how to fix it rather than just saying what's wrong.
