Mend Hotpoint WDF740 Washing Machine Door Lock

I have a hotpoint wdf740. When the door is shut and machine
turned on instead of one click the interlock repeatedly clicks then 'door' on display shows. The door will not lock. I was told it's an interlock fault and I replaced the lock but the mechine still gives the same error
