My Hotpoint WDL540 washing machine wont drain and also drying prog does not work. When i select drain only prog the pump runs for just about 2 seconds then the control unit turns it off, the spin and door lock lights are on but nothing more happens. I have changed the pump same thing happens. Also dry prog does nothing. No warning lights are flashing. All ideas appreciated many thanks.
HI My wdl540 has the same fault. I measure 35R from the thermistor and on the PCB so it isn't o/c cables. Could it be a faulty controller PCB? Any other common faults with these that might cause the symptoms?

Common fault. Wires to thermister on top of drum (heat sensor) are broken. Strip wire back 2cm and re-attach. Tony EMW Electronics 0115 9652118 www.emwelec.co.uk
