Bosch kettle won't boil?

When I push the start button my Bosch kettle base beeps,the red light comes on (100 degrees) and fades out. . Tried drying it in case of water around it but no good. Any ideas

Just clean the contacts on base of kettle and stand then it should be fine

have absolutely the same problem.
2 years and kettle becomes pumpkin.
also, it looks like a new inside and outside, such a waste...

buy a good kettle not the cheap Asda rubbish or take yours to a electrical shop and ask them to take a look at it they are normally good kettles I have had mine four years and its used many times a day. think of the land fill

My idea is that the heating element is defective - there's not much else it could be that the start button works.

Time for a new kettle - Asda have one for £12
