boiler won't fire up?

It is difficult to help you without knowing the exact make and model of the boiler in question
Because not all boilers:
-Work the same way
-Have the same ignition sequence
-Have identical parts
The situation is similar to cars really
Would you expect the tyres from a go cart to fit onto a F1 car?

yu know, there are many boilers. All are different.

Don't you think it would have been a good idea to let us know the make and model?

Actually, you COULD eveb try a Google search for yourself, once you know that info. You may even find folk who have had and solved the same problem.
