Mend Toilet Cistern Plastic

lifting the lid on my top flusher cistern pulled off an attachment ?

i lifted the lid on my top flusher WC and discovered there was a plastic lead that must have clipped onto the flusher so now it won't work. Looking on the net i discovered the insides are a "universal" cistern which is cheap but can the pipe be fixed on again?
