washing machine zanussi jetsystem 1600?

the start button is flashing but will not start when pressed. It has stopped before end of cycle and has not drained. I have turned of and drained at front also cleaned filter. I have held start and skip buttons in and then turned on this causes light to go through all setting continually. Then turned off and on again washer started but was making a bleeping noise and has stopped at the same place in the cycle.
