How to fix my Henry numatic vacuum?

I need to test the on and off switch on my Henry I also need to test the high and low switch on my Henry numatic

The first test - the on/off switch...

Switch the machine on and off and see what happens - be aware - be very aware that the machine may have a broken wire inside the cable at the plug - easily and quickly resolved and more likely than a dodgy switch.

The second test - high/low switch.
Operate the switch and see what happens.
