Mend Necchi 549 Help Tension Thread Machine

Will you help me find a replacement tension dial?

The thread tension dial flew off my machine and will not go back on as the threads seem to be stripped. I have a Necchi model 549. I cannot find a replacement tension dial. Is it possible that the tension dial from a different brand machine or different model Necchi will work? I know this machine is older, but it is solid and is the best of all the machines I have. Please help me find a replacement dial. Thank you.

there is a lot of them that is the same or will work the same,they dont normally strip just put a screwdriver in the slot where the dial fit and open it a little it normally work

Kay is in Harrisburg, PA. I searched for Necchi spare arts and cannot find the tension dial. Perhaps the machine is too old. Would a tension dial from a different brand machine be an alternative?

just google sewing machine spares and sure you will find supplier as you dont say where you from so we cant help you
