Mend Dimplex 3 Old Little

Dimplex Multifire 3 years old , little used?

The heating element comes on when I only want the glow on and the metal gets hot as the blower only comes on as the element switches off . There is a hum as if something wants to happen then it stops and the element goes on again. Can't just use the glow. Electrician recommended by Dimplex wants £149 call out!!

Unfortunately I have not worked on this model but I get the impression that it is wired wrong internally,I might be wrong it could be a glitch with the PCB.Did it work ok at first?

The model number is MFS 12LE
I have only used the heater a couple of times . I would like to just use the flame effect without the heater but that's the problem , the heater switches on and off . The charge is for call out,parts and labour .

This is an unusual set of circumstances,can you post the model number,is that call out fee all in or are parts extra,it seems a bit exorbitant.My company only charges £48 call out plus parts

Amazon will sell you a 2kW Dimplex fan heater for £23 - post free - you could buy 6 of them for the cost of the call-out fee.
