Mend HP Photosmart 1115 Plastic Small Spring

How to get into HPphotosmart 1115?

The plastic bit holding the small tension spring for the head drive belt has broken off. Easy to fix but have been unable to get into case to repair it - rmoved only two visible screws but am defeated by the plastic assembly barbs. Any ideas on how to get in without cutting off case with a hacksaw and then gluing it on after repair?

There are 2 additional screws recessed under the control panel on our model240. They are located top far right and left in the circular holes with no buttons. That loosens the cover.

We got into our Photosmart 240 using flat thin blade to pry the metal clips apart after removing the 2 screws. Carefully push one clip in while gently tugging to pull the other cover.
