My Miele Vacuum cleaner motor has developed a hunting note and some power loss Any Ideas?

Before blaming the electronics check how the appliance runs without bag and filter (not cleaning). If the motor is 'stable' then try new filters/bag, also try adjusting the power control when running. If this does not vary the motor speed proportionally it may be the control that is faulty. The main causes of problems are filters/control/motor and finally board.
