Mend Maytag MDBH989AWS1 Dishwasher Wont Start

dishwasher won't start?

I have a Maytag "steam clean" dishwasher
model #MDBH989AWS1
I press "Normal" cycle, light comes on-
press"heated dry", light comes on-
then I should press start and it should start.
When I hit start nothing happens,no change in lights,nothing.
The diagnostics book is no longer taped to bottom panel.
