If there's resistors in there then make sure they go back on the correct terminals and that they ain't shorting on other terminals.

Usually the reed can be removed from its case for ease of wiring :)

remove the two screws that hold it in place,then withdraw the switch take note of the wires and fit them on new contact a 5 min job
