Mend Hotpoint WMD906P Water Machine Years

filling with too much water. hotpoint ultima?

I have a hotpoint ultima washing machine wmd906p 3 years old. it is over filling with water until it pours out of the soap dispencer,
if i let it, it would flood the house. I have to switch it off. and reset it to spin to get it to
empty the water in the normal way. cannot use it as is.
