how to fix electrolux cooker hood problem ?

hood has 5 control buttons. 1. switches light on ok
2. switches fan on/off. 3/4/5 control fan speed. When pressing buttons 3/4/5 the fan will only stay on when the buttons are held in. Faulty switch ?
