Mend Main Combi 24 HE Reduce Pressure Boiler

How can I reduce the pressure on my boiler?

I have a Main Combi 24 HE boiler. The pressure dial is up on 3 and a half. The boiler and radiators are making a groaning noise constantly (through the night aswell) and it is now doing my head in. Anybody know the answer to this?

If you have not overfilled and pressure is still high than plate heatexchanger leaking within so need replacing.

Make sure the filling loop is turned off,if in doubt disconnect it then reduce pressure of system by opening the red top valve at the bottom of boiler
