Be modern detroit electric fire?

The fire is fine when just on flame effect but when it is switched to heat mode it becomes very noisy. Any thoughts?

Usually these type of motors have bushes not bearings and are not repairable, you have to change the fan as a complete unit, but as a rule the bearings do not wear out the noise could be the fan is out of balance because it is off center and can be pushed back quite easily,or it could have moved sideways along the shaft,again easily sorted
