baxi solo 3 gets hot then turns off /not back on?

If the flow and return boiler pipes become hot quickly with cold rads then it isn't circulating around the system correcly

boiler shouldn't switch off until rads are red hot and room is up to thermostat temp.If it isn't doing this then you have a blockage or airlock or something which is making the boiler get over hot and cutting out for safety.pump will still run but burner will be off,then it retries.thick sludge in pump means its in the whole system.might need a power flush

pump is running & radiators where getting hot. just boiler time to reignight too long.

can you confirm pump is running?
you say it gets hot then goes off and doesn't come back on for 5 mins.Do the rads get hot or just local boiler pipework.kind of confussed!!
